Port William has three Community Groups each responsible for different things. As well as two very important Community Service Groups. All are volunteer groups and always looking for help and new members. For further information for each group please click on the highlighted blue link
Port William Community Association SCIO has recently become a charity. Its aims are to provide entertainments and amusements for the good of the community. Their main event is the highly successful Carnival Week, which as its name suggests runs for a week during the summer, usually the first week in August. They welcome all residents to their regular monthly meetings (see the Regular Events page for details)
Port William Community Council as its name suggests deals with the political side of the village, checking planning applications, liasing with County Council Officials and looking after the framework of the village. They welcome members of the public at their regular months meetings (see Regular Events page for details).
Port William Community Development Trust also a charity, seeks funding for community projects and has to date been highly successful
